Aluminium performs better than most materials in window applications because it does not warp or rust. It expands and contracts at levels that are far lower than other more predominantly used frame materials and consequently reduces the stresses and strains placed on accessories and hardware the main area of window failure.

Many suppliers will provide you with an insurance backed warranty from independent warranty organisations such as: Independent Warranty Association (IWA) or through FENSA. This offers you an extra level of peace of mind that if anything happens to the company of you choice your warranty will still be valid.

Your installer will give you a comprehensive guarantee on products and these typically are for 10 years on parts labour and installation. We suggest that once you have chosen the product you want and the right supplier and installer, you should discuss the warranty with them and always insist on a copy in writing.
