2010 Update
UK Building Regulations Amendments.
The new UK Building Regulations' have now been published and these come into effect on the 1st October 2010. The summary of these amendments are quite tough and the requirements are as follows:

Note 1: The 1.2W/m2K Glass Centre Pane value is no longer a form of compliance unless the need to maintain the facade or the character of the building is required. |

Note 2: Insulated cavity closers should be installed where appropriate. |

Long term Objective
- The 2010 revision is a 25% improvement on 2006 (In some areas this has been relaxed)
- In 2013 the regulations will be revised again. This time looking for 44% improvement on 2006 figures
- These incremental steps work towards the objective of Zero Carbon buildings by 2016

- All current systems were designed to surpass the revisions to PART L
